Just a few weeks back, Krafton has officially announced Battlegrounds Mobile India will be coming to India. The company has also opened pre-registration of the game in Google Play Store and rewards for all those who pre-register. Krafton is yet to disclose the launch date of the game. Battlegrounds Mobile India will be a revamped version of PUBG Mobile that was banned last year. Before launching Battlegrounds Mobile India, it gets a Ban request from an MLA to PM Modi and has shared the letter in a Tweet.

Since the ban of PUBG Mobile, Krafton is trying hard to get back into India. It has got Tencent out of publishing rights in India, which was one reason PUBG Mobile was banned. After the new announcement, changing the game’s name, it gets a ban request from Ering, representing the Pasighat West Assembly constituency in the Northeastern Indian state. Ninong Ering states, “There is an illusion and a trick to relaunch the same game with minor modifications. This will cause a threat to the nation by collecting the data of millions of our citizens and selling it to other countries.”

Requested @PMOIndia @narendramodi ji to not allow Chinese deception #BattlegroundsMobileIndia. It is a big threat to security of India & privacy of our citizens and a way to circumvent & disregard our laws.@AmitShah #IndiaBanBattlegrounds #NationFirst #AatmaNirbharBharat @ANI pic.twitter.com/H8nzUJ4aRk

He also mentions almost all the employees of Krafton in India were former Tencent employees. This includes the senior management also. They were all miraculously hired by Krafton in December and are now working on the Battlegrounds Mobile India game. Krafton has also invested in Nodwin that will be responsible for the distribution of the game in India. He mentions that Nodwin has ongoing ties with Tencent gaming and offered its services in Pakistan also.

Will Battle Grounds Mobile India be Banned?

According to the terms and conditions of the game, the data will be stored locally and in Singapore. If that is the case, then the game might have very few chances of getting a ban. To launch a game in India, it doesn’t need any permission from the government. But after the game’s launch doesn’t comply with the local rules and regulations, it might be a danger to the game.

Ninong Ering, in conclusion, states that it is simply a relaunch of PUBG Mobile. He further adds, “The gameplay and maps also are from PUBG and weapons will be the same with just some name changes.” He says that the renamed launch of the game is Tencent’s plan of entering indirectly into India to capture the data.

The MLA also indicated that if PUBG Mobile is allowed to relaunch, other apps like “TikTok” and “WeChat” might also re-enter India. He also added that the game might bring a risk of “addiction, harm, and suicide” in the youth of India. He, therefore, urges the government of India to Ban the upcoming game Battlegrounds Mobile India.

So, that’s been it. Thank you for reading, and do share the article if you get a bit piece of information. Also, keep an eye on this space for more relevant updates. Stay safe, and we hope to see you around.
