After PUBG Mobile India was banned in India back in September last year, Krafton decided to cut its strings with Tencent and relaunch the PUBG Mobile in India. After many disputes with the company and the Indian Government, Krafton finally announced Battlegrounds Mobile India last month, an Indian-only version of PUBG Mobile. The pre-registrations started on May 18, and Battlegrounds Mobile India crossed 20 million pre-registrations in just 2 weeks.

Battlegrounds Mobile India received 7.6 million pre-registrations on its opening day, according to the recent official announcement. And since then it has crossed 20 million. It’s overwhelming, and Krafton CEO Changhan Kim thanked Indian fans for such a sublime response to the game.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our Indian fans for their overwhelming response to the BATTLEGROUNDS IP, first developed by me and my team in 2017,” said CH Kim, CEO of KRAFTON, Inc.
“The BATTLEGROUNDS IP received love and acclaim from players worldwide, and KRAFTON will continue to build on the IP. That effort includes bringing amazing content to BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA, and providing an incomparable battle royale experience to our players,” Kim further added.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Release Date?
Although Battlegrounds Mobile India is coming with a completely different name to PUBG Mobile, it is still facing some political issues in the country. However, Krafton doesn’t seem to step back, and of course, they are bringing the game.
There’s no official announcement on the game’s release date (yet), but few game streamers in India hinted towards specific dates; all those dates suggest the game might release in the second or third week of June.
