As a solstice surprise, Niantic is bringing Legendary Pokémon Regigigas to Pokemon GO five-star raids. But, that’s not all; there will be geographic-exclusive Pokémon, Raids, event-exclusive field research tasks, and other bonuses too. It is a three-day solstice event. So for you to get things ready, here is everything you need to know.

Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 10:00 AM to Sunday, June 20, 2021, at 8:00 PM [local time].

The following Pokémon will appear more often in the wild during the event:
- Lunatone
- Solrock
- Spheal
- Snorlax Rare
Niantic is also bringing Hemisphere-exclusive Pokémon and Raid Bosses, which will appear in the wild and raids depending on your hemisphere. Here is the list of Pokémon that will be exclusive to the northern and southern hemispheres.

Lunatone, Solrock, Klink, and more will be appearing in raids worldwide.
In addition, the legendary Pokémon Regigigas takes five-raids raids in Pokemon GO during the event time frame. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Regigigas ✨.
Event-exclusive Field Research Tasks
The solstice event-exclusive field research tasks will be available during the event. Completing them will get you to encounter Yanma in the northern hemisphere and Snorunt in the southern hemisphere. If you’re lucky, you might even get Silver Pinap Berries.
Other Bonuses
During the event, Lunatone and Solrock will appear in the wild around the world. After the event, Lunatone will appear exclusively in the eastern hemisphere, and Solrock will appear exclusively in the western hemisphere.
The Buddy Pokémon will give you gifts and Poké Balls more frequently during the event. Also, the walking distance required to earn hearts with your buddy will be halved. You can read the official blog post for more info.
