Niantic is bringing yet another Community Day for February 2022 to Pokemon GO. The Feb Community Day features Hoppip, the Grass, and Flying-type Cottonweed Pokémon. It’s an excellent chance for trainers to catch a Shiny Hoppip as the chances are high on a Community Day. They can also evolve it to learn the event-exclusive move and take advantage of in-game bonuses. So for you to get things ready, here is everything you need to know.
Date + Time
Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM [local time].
It is a six-hour time frame. But, you can still get an exclusive move with evolution until up to two hours afterward, that is 7:00 PM [local time].
Featured Pokémon
The Grass and Flying-type Pokémon Hoppip is the featured Pokémon of February Community Day 2022. Hoppip will appear more frequently in the wild during the event. If you’re lucky, you may get a chance to encounter a Shiny Hoppip ✨. It’s an excellent opportunity for trainers to catch better and/or Shiny Hoppip.
Exclusive Move
If you evolve Skiploom (Hoppip’s Evolution) into Jumpluff in the event time or up to two hours afterward, the Pokémon evolves knowing the Ultimate Charged Flying-type Exclusive Move – Acrobatics.

Pokémon GO Hoppip Community Day Special Research
On this month’s Community Day, Niantic offers an event-exclusive special research story called “A Hop, Skip, and Jump Away”. Access to this special research story will be available in the in-game shop for US$1.
Other Bonuses
In addition to Hoppip’s frequent encounters, Niantic will be bringing a few more bonuses too.
- 3× Catch Stardust during the event.
- A giveaway of 30 Ultra Balls in the shop for free. Be sure to take it.
- Get up to three free Raid Passes from Gyms during the event and up to two hours afterward.
- Chance for Skiploom to appear in Parks alongside Hoppip.
- Bonus Hoppip XL Candy from Skiploom caught in Parks.
- The Incense used during the event will remain active for three hours rather than the usual one hour.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Additionally, there’ll be a one-time purchase of the Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins. That includes 50 Ultra Balls, 2 Super Incubators, 6 Star Pieces, and an Elite Fast TM.
