Enjoying Luminous Legends X event? Excite more cause’ Luminos Legends Y is not so far. Niantic is bringing Yveltal, Pancham, Sylveon, and Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon to Pokémon GO during the event. There are a lot of things scheduled to happen. So for you to get things ready, here’s everything you need to know.
The Luminous Legends Y is a two-week event, the developer calling the first week as Part 1 and the second as Part 2. Let’s follow the same.
Pokémon GO Luminous Legends Y Part 1 (first week)
As Part 1 debuts Yveltal, this part of the event concentrates more on Dark-type Pokémon.
Date + Time
Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM to Monday, May 24, 2021, at 8:00 PM [local time].
Featured Pokémon
During the event time frame of Part 1, Dark-type Pokémon like Houndour, Carvanha, and more will appear more often in the wild. In addition, the Spritzee, Swirlix, and Goomy will also continue to appear in the wild.
Raids
Dark-type Pokémon like Alolan Meowth, Yveltal, and more will appear in raids.
Egg Hatches
The new Gen 6 Pokémon Pancham will hatch from Strange Eggs (12 km) during the event and afterward.

Other Bonuses
Event-exclusive Field Research tasks will lead to encounters with Dark-type Pokémon, including Galarian Zigzagoon, Scraggy, and more. And the Event-exclusive AR Mapping tasks will lead to encounters with Galarian Zigzagoon.
You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.
In addition, Niantic is bringing another Global challenge to the game. Trainers all around the world can together defeat Team Go Rocket Grunts to unlock special bonuses. The challenge will be available from Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 12:00 PM to Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 11:59 PM [UTC]. If trainers around the world together defeat 25 million Team GO Rocket Grunts in challenge time. The following special bonuses will be unlocked during the second week; Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 10:00 AM to Monday, May 31, 2021, at 8:00 PM [local time].
- A 3× Catch XP bonus will be active for the rest of the event.
- If you’re lucky, you might find a Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon ✨.
- Galarian Zigzagoon will appear in one-star raids for the rest of the event.
Pokémon GO Luminous Legends Y Part 2 (second week)
The second week of Luminous Legends Y focuses on Fairy-type Pokémon and Eevee. Because the most awaited Pokémon Sylveon is making its first appearance in Pokémon GO.

Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 10:00 AM to Monday, May 31, 2021, at 8:00 PM [local time].
Featured Pokémon
Eevee, Ralts, Spritzee, Swirlix, and others, alongside some of the Dark-type Pokémon featured in Part 1 of the event, will appear more often during Part 2.
Raids
Some of the Eevee evolutions such as Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon will appear in three-star raids during the event alongside the mentions in Part 1.
Egg Hatches
The following Pokémon will hatch from 7 km Eggs collected during Part 2 of the event:
- Eevee
- Cleffa
- Igglybuff
- Togepi
- Azurill
- Spritzee
- Swirlix
Other Bonuses
- Event-exclusive Field Research tasks will be available. Completing them lead to encounters with Eevee, some of Eevee’s Evolutions, and more.
- Sylveon-inspired avatar items will be available to buy from the in-game shop.
