It has been two months since the Ban of PUBG in India. The battle royal title is banned due to the cybersecurity issues and the app being published by Chinese giant Tencent. PUBG last week officially announces its servers being shut down in India. After that notice, PUBG has also another post in which they mentioned the change in their corporate name to Krafton Inc. from PUBG Corp. applied to all the platforms. The migration will be with the revision of Terms and Conditions, Privacy policy, and Rules of conduct. This will be taking effect from December 2nd, 2020 onwards.

Since the ban of the game, PUBG Corp. has been trying very hard to get back to India. According to the recent reports by TechCrunch, PUBG Corp. is getting ready to bring back the game to India before the end of this year. The news says that Krafton Inc. the parent company of PUBG Corp. has collaborated with Microsoft Azure.

“With privacy and data security being a top priority for Krafton, the company will be working with Microsoft to ensure personal data protection through Azure,”- Statement by Krafton.

Krafton is in talks to store the Indian PUBG player’s data within the country. TechCrunch also mentions that PUBG has privately informed some high-profile streamers that the game will resume in India by the end of this year.

Another exciting part is that PUBG might officially make an announcement this week. It is also in plans to use the Diwali week to make a marketing campaign. PUBG Corp. in recent weeks has met with many firms which include Paytm and Airtel. These talks were to get a publisher to get publish the game back in India.

PUBG has its biggest market in India and it is no surprise that it wants to be back in India. After the ban, there were several copies of games to gain the place of the game. The n-core game FAUG is one of them which has got a lot of negative response after their first look. We just have to look out as all of this is still unclear until the official notice.
