Google has launched its new Pixel series on October 19th. With the new Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Google also announced its first in-house chipset, Tensor. Since the announcement, there have been a lot of questions running about how good is the processor. The benchmarks show that the Google Tensor SoC has the most powerful GPU ever in an Android phone.

These benchmark tests didn’t come from any official Google announcement. These scores came from a user on the Reddit thread. He at first mentioned that his Pixel 6 was delivered today and asked does anyone has any requests. To his line, a person replied, asking for the GPU benchmark tests. He then posted the screenshots of the different GPU tests conducted on 3DMark Wild Life, Wild Life Extreme, and Wild Life Stress tests. And these scores seem to beat the top processors in the market at present by a small margin.

We all know that these tests don’t show real-world usage. The reason is that these tests are designed to put more workload on the CPU or GPU, whereas in real-world usage, we very rarely use that much power from the CPU or GPU. You can find the scores for the Google Tensor SoC in Google Pixel 6 below.

For reference, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with Snapdragon 888 SoC has a score of 1,494 with 8.9 FPS in the Wild Life Extreme test. The same phone with the Exynos 2100 scored 1,793 at 10.7 FPS in the same test. Huawei’s in-house chipset was the highest till now, with 2,004 at 12 FPS. Google Tensor SoC now has the highest 2,028 with 12.8 FPS in the Wild Life Extreme test.

So, that’s been it. Thank you for reading, and do share the article if you get a bit piece of information. Also, keep an eye on this space for more relevant updates. Stay safe, and we hope to see you around.
