The most awaited Justice League Snyder Cut will be coming to India said WarnerMedia to Gadgets 360 India. It is still unclear when and where the movie will be available in India. The film is an HBO Max exclusive available only in the US. To get the film available globally, the team is looking for partners to stream the movie on their platforms.
“We know how much Zack Snyder’s Justice League means to our legions of DC fans in India and are fully committed to making the movie as widely available as possible around the same time as the global premiere on March 18. We are in discussions with local and global partners and will have more details shortly”.- One of the Spokesperson of WarnerMedia to Gadgets360.
This official statement does give great news to the fans as there won’t be piracy of the digital release. Because they thought of releasing the movie only in the US fans won’t stop finding a way to watch the film. They all have their ways to watch the film. WarnerBrothers, the parent company of WarnerMedia, said that it would continue with existing partners in areas where HBO Max is not available. In India, WarnerBros. has content on different platforms. Some of them are in Netflix, some in Amazon Prime, and mostly in Disney Plus Hotstar.
We have to wait for the official statement from WarnerBros. or either of the Streaming partners. There are speculations that the movie might end up in Disney Plus Hotstar. As Disney Plus Hotstar contains most of the HBO shows or movies. But to keep note HBO and HBO Max are different entities though they share the same name. When we observe the shows in Disney Plus Hotstar, they are limited to HBO, and not a single HBO Max show is present in them. Netflix and Amazon Prime are having more likes to get the movie in their bags. As they both have ties to WarnerBros. India. It won’t surprise if they go with other third-party apps to release the movie.
We already have two of WarnerBros. Films in India but not in any of the famous platforms. The Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and Gal Gadot starer Wonder Women 1984 are on services like Apple TV, Google Play and even on the newly announced BookMyShow Stream. You can watch those films by either renting them or buying them. We might even end up to have Zack Snyder’s Justice League also in the same way. There were rumours that WarnerBros. is planning to launch HBO Max in India. If that happens, we might have a subscription to the platform and watch the movie.
