Marvel’s second and biggest TV series that streamed on Disney+ has finally ended. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, a beautiful piece of direction and drama with added spices of superhero fantasy. I strongly suggest that regardless of whatever you read below, it’s a must-watch. Before we get into The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Review, let’s talk about what’s the plot, what’s it all about, and the episodes.

Story

Nah, I stand on the promise I’ve made. I’m merely gonna write a little text of what the series is about. Well, you all know that Steve handed over the shield to Falcon at the end of the Avengers: End Game. He believed that Sam really deserves it. The entire story rotates around a lot of things, but mostly around who is the next Captain America, who deserves to be one. You must watch it to get to know the answers to these. Not only that, you’ll see another path of storytelling that revolves around the characters called “Flag Smashers.” Enough talk, Didn’t I make you curious? Great, now watch the show.

Here’s the final trailer of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier:

There are a total of six episodes on the first season of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Here’s the list of them with the episode title, air date, and a mini description that you probably can see in the Disney + app too.

3. Power Broker

4. The Whole World Is Watching

Air date: Apr 9, 2021

John Walker loses patience with Bucky and Sam as they learn more about Karli Morgenthau.

5. Truth

Air date: Apr 16, 2021

Sam, Bucky, Baron, John, and Karli must all come to terms with the consequences of their actions.

6. One World, One People

Air date: Apr 23, 2021

As The Flag Smashers escalate their efforts, Sam and Bucky take action.

Opinion

As I’m still holding the “no spoiler” promise, let me make it more simple but informative. I already mentioned it’s a beautiful piece of direction by Kari Skogland, who directed all six episodes. The screenplay is so engaging, and the performances of the cast are fabulous. Anthony Mackie (Falcon/Sam), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier/Bucky), Wyatt Russell (John Walker), and Erin Kellyman (Flag Smasher) shared most of the screen presence, and they did perform great for the entire screen time. Emily VanCamp (Sharon) and Daniel (Zemo) also have a better screen presence, and they did justify it with their performances.

Coming to the storyline, that didn’t reach my expectations. I can’t say it’s a super cool storyline, but it is just not bad. The visuals are great and best suited for a TV series like that. One can expect that when it’s coming from the house of Marvel. DOP is fantabulous, I would say. I suggest you watch for the easter eggs after you completed watching the entire season. The storytelling is good enough as it goes on along with the screenplay. You may or might see some characters who do not hold much importance for this storyline. Maybe they’re more important for Season 2, I assume.

Talking about the ending, I feel it so unclear. I felt like it is kind of messed up. The general formula for any TV series is to end with an engaging path to the next season, making the audience more curious to watch the following season. But with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, I felt it isn’t like that.

Verdict

In conclusion to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier review, this is the verdict that I feel Iike writing. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a beautiful art painted with direction, visuals, and storytelling. The screenplay and direction play an important role in this series, including the cast performances. The storytelling is fine, and the storyline is fair enough. The ending is messy, and that’s a bit of a bummer. Here’s is the score that I feel Iike giving to the entire season 1 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. You can go through the score and its breakdown below.

So that’s been it. Thank you for reading, and do share the article if you get a bit piece of information. Also, keep an eye on this space for more relevant updates. Stay safe, and we hope to see you around.
