He mentions, “Looking ahead here, the next product release will be the launch of our first smart glasses from Ray-Ban in partnership with EssilorLuxottica“. He also added that you could be able to do some pretty “neat things with the glasses.” We have a confirmation from the previous news that Facebook won’t be having an integrated display or involved in Augmented Reality for the smart glasses.
With that in mind, many questions are arising. What do the “neat things,” according to Mark, mean. Suppose it doesn’t have any integrated display, then what will be different from the regular glasses. These smart glasses from Facebook will be part of the journey towards full Augmented Reality glasses. There have been no words on when the launch of the product is going to happen.
