Google launched its new Chromecast device with Google TV. This is their first Chromecast device with Google TV and also a dedicated Remote control. Previously, we had a rumor that Google launching Chromecast devices with the name “Sabrina”. In the launch event, they didn’t mention the name Sabrina but they do launch the Chromecast devices with all the specs leaked. Let’s talk its all abouts.

Specifications

Google’s new Chromecast comes with 4K HDR support up to 60fps and HDR 10+. It has built-in dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth. It supports Dolby Atmos for a superior audio experience, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Digital Plus. The dongle powers through a Type-C port and weighs 55 grams. The dedicated remote control works with two AAA batteries. It connects via Bluetooth and has a built-in Microphone to control your device with Google Android Assistant.

Google TV

Google teased its Google TV showing its amazing user experience. As they say “Your Voice is Your Power”, dedicated remote control allows you to use Google Android Assistant seamlessly to control your TV. There is now a “For You” tab in Google TV where you can find the content which Google arranges considering your interest. You can just say “What should I watch?” for Google to just show you the suggestions based on your interest calculated by AI.

Google TV has all the OTT apps that you want and can stream Live TV seamlessly up to 4K. All the entertainment apps are built-in and also downloadable from Google Playstore as its an Android Tv. The remote control is so sleek and simple and has dedicated buttons for YouTube and NetFlix. You can connect your Chromecast to any android devices like Google Nest. Also, you can view the live feed from the surveillance camera at your front door by just saying “Show me the front door”. You can search for any movie or TV title across all the OTT apps with Google Android Assistant just from the Home tab or anywhere in the UI.

Price and Color options

Simply, Google Chromecast with Google TV is a super cool entertainment and streaming device with an AI-powered Android TV interface. It is launched globally at a price of $49.99 and comes three color options Snow, Sky, and Sunrise. It is yet to launch in India, let’s just wait for the price confirmation. If we convert the US price it may come with a price around INR 3,700. Amazon recently launched its new Fire TV Stick at $39 (INR 3999) and a lite version of it at $29 (INR 2999); Which gives a great competition to the new Chromecast. Let’s see which steals the better market share.

Anyway, I personally prefer Google Chromecast cause’ it gives me the power to connect seamlessly across all my devices and also I love Google’s “For You” things that save my time in searching; We have great sync though.
