Nokia is the most commonly known brand in phones though it is struggling in smartphones. We know how trustworthy that brand is and it is also known in the telecommunication hardware. The company in the ’90s used to sell business model laptops and did discontinue them. Again in August 2009, they launched a mini-laptop with 3G compatibility known as Nokia Booklet 3G only in limited countries. Nokia is now again looking to launch some new laptops in India.

Tipster Mukul Sharma found the list of these devices on the BIS(Bureau of Indian Standards) website. According to the list, the company has got a license for 9 laptops with different model names. The model names include NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL41S, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL82S, and NKi310UL85S. In a post by Nokiamob.net the names clearly we can get clues about the specs. The first two letters “NK” means Nokia the brand name and then “i5” or “i3” hints about the processor in the laptop. These laptops also might be using Windows 10 as their operating system as present in the model number before “UL”. This means there will be five i5 and four i3 laptops coming from Nokia.

There are no official statements regarding this but as the products are present on the BIS site we can expect an official announcement from Nokia. Tongfang Limited in China will be the company to manufacturing the Laptops with Nokia as a brand name as per the list on the BIS website. Similar to the Nokia Televisions and streaming devices Nokia will have a partner to release the devices mostly Flipkart. There are already many options for laptops from Dell, HP, Asus, Acer, Mi, and Avita for Nokia, to stand the pricing should be aggressive with their rivals.

So that’s it for now. Thank you for reading and please do share the article within your circles if you loved reading it. Also, keep an eye on this space to get relevant updates.
