Paytm makes its first step towards the previous statement “India needs its own App Store”. Yesterday, Paytm announced an Android mini App Store; for Indian developers, they said. They’re excited to launch their Mini App Store for Indian developers to take their innovative products to the masses.

Well, this is a pretty great opportunity for Indian developers to get reach for their applications or websites. They said it is easier to build a Mini App for their platform. For instance, two developers can build and integrate an application in 2 weeks. Also, Paytm will never charge for their platform. Also, they can integrate payments into their applications with ease. They have developed their infrastructure to enable small developers and businesses to set up low-cost, quick-to-build mini-apps; Which can be built using HTML and javascript technologies.

Paytm Mini App Store offers direct access to the applications without downloading, which saves limited data and also phone storage. Over 300+ app-based services have already on it. Such as Ola, Rapido, Netmeds, 1MG, Domino’s Pizza, FreshMenu, NoBroker, and more. It is in beta testing for selected users and reached over 12 million visitors in the month of September. Developers can have a dashboard where they can get all the data of analytics, payment collections, and other tools.

“I am proud that we are today launching something that creates an opportunity for every Indian app developer. Paytm Mini App Store empowers our young Indian developers to leverage our reach and payments to build new innovative services. For Paytm users, it will be a seamless experience that doesn’t require any separate download and enables them to use their preferred payment option.”

– Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO, Paytm.

Paytm wants India to build a sustainable local technology ecosystem that resonates “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. Developers, Start-ups, and tech companies can reach out to them at miniapps@paytm.com for early access. They have scheduled a Developer Conference on October 8th. To register click here.
