Virtuix taking Virtual Reality to another level with new Omni One. The Omni One will be a VR Treadmill at your home which can elaborate your full-body controls. The device lets you jump, crouch, kneel and run while staying in a single place. The company Vituix is a crowdfunded developing the Omni devices from 2013.

Virtuix has a VR device named Omni that was released in the year 2017. Now Virtuix has another device named Omni One which is a VR treadmill according to the company. The treadmill is not a regular one it has a low-friction platform to be used with special low-friction shoes. Virtuix has a first look at the prototype of the Omni One with a demonstration shown in the video.

Virtuix Omni:

The Virtuix Omni was a previous VR device which looks similar to the new Omni One. Virtuix Omni has an omnidirectional treadmill simulator for the virtual games. The device has a limit of functionality as it tracks only running and hand actions. This makes the device at that time a good one with only some games to play. The Virtuix Omni was one of the top ten biggest technology Kickstarter campaign. It has $1.1 million funds in the pocket and since then Virtuix has got around $20 million from private and institutional investors.

Virtuix Omni One VR Treadmill:

The concept of the device seems to come from Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One. This time the design has only a single vertical bar which makes it more compact. The company claims that it will launch with 30 games (Of course need a dedicated store for that). A full list of games hasn’t been out yet but Virtuix plans to feature some big games like Fortnite and Call of Duty.

The retail version of the Omni one might may a standalone headset. For all those who want to lay their hands on the device, Virtuix is opening a Regulation funding campaign. This makes the company sell shares through the crowdfunding process. You should invest a minimum of $1000 and the company will give a 20% discount on their consumer product or a 40 percent discount if they invest in the first week. Virtuix also says that these are not actually pre-orders.

Virtuix mentions in the video that the device will be coming in the next year and the price would be $1995.
