These laptops include Acer Swift 3X, Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1, and Asus VivoBook Flip TP470. Intel mentions that laptops using integrated graphics and Xe Max GPUs together will increase graphics performance and accelerate compute-intensive or AI-based tasks. The Xe Max GPU is based on the same Xe-LP GPU which is similar to the integrated GPU in the 11th Gen CPU. This GPU is in competition with the Nvidia GeForce MX350 an entry-level discrete GPU.

The Iris Xe Max has a maximum higher speed of 1.65 GHz with 96 execution units. The architecture is made on the 10nm SuperFin transistor technology. It has PCI 4.0 speed to connect to the CPU and has 4GB LPPDRX4 memory with a bandwidth of 68Gbps. It can connect to up to 4 displays simultaneously over HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4, or an internal eDP. The GPU also supports variable-rate shading and adaptive sync.

Intel Claims to have 7 times faster AI-based content on 11th gen intel core i7-1165G7 CPU plus Iris Xe Max GPU when compared to 10th gen intel core i7-1065G7 CPU and Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU. Using the GPU you can play relative modern games at 1080p at medium to low settings at 30fps.

The Iris Xe Max also supports Deep Link which dynamically manages power and thermal headroom between the GPU and CPU. This results in a 20 percent improvement in CPU when the GPU is idle.
