Apple iPhones are known to be very hard to fix with third-party solutions or services. Apple has a secure way of making their phones that even the screen can’t be replaced. And now, finally, Apple has listened to its users by letting users repair their iPhones themselves. Apple calls this the self-service repair. Initially, you won’t repair any models (How can you expect that much freedom from Apple?) apart from iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series.

This program will start earlier next year in the US and expand to other regions of the world. Apple will focus on the most common repairs such as display, battery, and camera during the initial phase. These repairs that you would like to perform should only be done with the Apple original parts. These genuine parts will be available on Apple Self Service Repair Online Store. Just before you plan to repair your Apple iPhone, you have to go through the repair manual. Apple is planning to expand this repairing service to Mac computers with M1 chips later in 2022.

A warning is that do not perform this self-service repair unless you know about repairing electronic devices. The best way to get your Apple iPhone fixed is by giving it to the Apple service center or Apple Authorised Service Centers. Apple is constantly expanding its services to ensure it provides help to millions of people with its products.

Apple didn’t provide the exact timeline of when this program will start but mentioned early 2022 might be in the first quarter of 2022. The company already has 5000 Apple Authorized Service Providers (AASPs) and 2,800 Independent Repair Providers who have access to genuine parts, tools, and manuals.

So, that’s been it. Thank you for reading, and do share the article if you get a bit piece of information. Also, keep an eye on this space for more relevant updates. Stay safe, and we hope to see you around.
