Apple this week has launched a new Apple Watch Series 6, Watch SE, iPad 8th Gen and iPad Air 4. All eyes were definitely on the iPad Air 4 as it has the new A14 Bionic Chip. A14 Bionic chip is the latest chip from Apple which is the World’s First 5nm Chip. We all know how Apple’s A-series chip performances. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see the iPhone 12 series in the Event “Time Flies” but Apple has given us the clue about the chipset that will be used in iPhone 12 series. Some of the leaks say that iPhone 12 pro max with A14 bionic chip scores less than the rivals.

Benchmark Scores:

Apple’s A14 Bionic chip is against the rivalry manufacturers like Qualcomm, Samsung, and Huawei. This news is from the information by the tipster, Ice Universe. They have posted pics with the Antutu Benchmark test with iPhone 12 pro max. The score of the iPhone 12 Pro Max is 572,333 which is less than the latest and most powerful chipset by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 plus. Asus Rog Phone 3 with the Snapdragon 865 Plus has a score of 629,245 which is far ahead when compared with the scores. In fact, it is lesser than the regular Snapdragon 865 powered OnePlus 8 pro with a score of 610567.

Reasonable guess: Apple A14 will focus more on reducing power consumption and heat, as well as improving AI performance.

If the reports are true then this time Qualcomm will be the winner of the rival Apple which it has been losing from years in the chipset race. But we have to keep in mind that this is still the beginning as Apple can do the software optimization to get the score up. Apple can even eke out more performance from the new chipset when paired to a stable software and device.

Fabrication:

When we compare both the chipsets fabrication we have Apple’s A14 with 5nm(World’s First) and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 plus with 7nm. This means that Apple still has the lead as it can handle more processing with less power consumption. For all those who have no idea on this “The Lesser the size the lesser the power consumption”. Also Read About the A14 Bionic Chip how it was made and can handle the work.

Well, to get all these questions answered we have to wait until the iPhone 12 is launched which is rumored to be done in October.

That’s it for now, techies. Watch this space for more updates while you stay home safe. Share this article if you like this. Hope we see you around.
