POCO announced itself as an independent brand (separated from Xiaomi) back in January last year. After a year later, POCO revamped the brand logo and tagline.

POCO today unveiled its new brand logo and the company mascot. The new visual identity, for now, is exclusive to the Indian division of the brand. The company also revealed a new tagline that resembles the mascot “Made of Mad.”

The new mascot, which is also part of the logo, looks like an emoji mashup, but it does hold its own meaning. The company explained the deep meaning behind every visual feature of the mascot in an infographic way.

POCO new brand logo mascot

The new mascot is not just a part of our identity but something that is specifically designed with the intent of redefining madness, the Poco way.
You say it’s an emoji, I ask you to look again!
We are MADE OF MAD

– Reads the press note.

The new “Made of Mad” mascot will replace the first ‘O’ in POCO to make the new brand logo. POCO also mentioned that they are now an independent company for the third time. This time they kind of trolled Xiaomi too. Here is how they did it.

Everyone wants a piece of Mi.
Not us.
Not POCO.
No no.
We’re #TooMadForMi. 🤙🏽 pic.twitter.com/Fqeal87N2c

POCO started as a sub-brand from Xiaomi back in 2018 and went independent last year. Although it does separate as a brand, it still uses Xiaomi’s manufacturing, service centers, and also some Xiaomi phones rebranded as POCO phones. However, according to Counterpoint research, POCO is now the third-largest smartphone brand in India by volume from online sales.
