Who doesn’t love Breaking Bad? The Award-winning TV series has a lot of epic moments. And everyone remembers the archetypal pizza throwing scene. But there’s a whole lot of story happened behind that. Let’s talk about Breaking Bad’s Iconic Pizza Story.

Why Walter White threw the pizza?

As you remember the scene from Breaking Bad Season 3 Episode 2, “Caballo sin Nombre”. Mr.White brings a pizza and Skyler locks him out as she founds about his meth business. With frustration, He throws the pizza and it lands perfectly on the rooftop. Here, take a look at that iconic scene again.

The Breaking Bad team brought a stack of pizzas incase if Bryan Cranston couldn’t throw perfectly in the first attempt. But he surprised the entire team throwing it perfectly to land on rooftop in the first take.

The White’s home wasn’t just a set, It’s a real house and belongs to the Padilla family. They said, up to 200 people bearing pizzas would arrive every day. “We’ve had pizzas on our roof. We’ve had pizzas on our driveway; pizzas until we’re sick of looking at pizzas,” Padilla family spoke to NPR.

But Vince Gilligan was angry about that and scolded the fans in a podcast Interview. Saying, “There is nothing original or funny or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady’s roof.”

Why the Pizza is Unsliced?

Look at the pizza throwing scene, the pizza is unsliced. Why would a pizzeria give an unsliced pizza? These kinds of questions arose and the team gave an answer too by referring the scene later in the series.

Badger brings pizzas to the party and Jesse questioned the unsliced pizza. he replies, “That’s the gimmick. This place, they don’t cut their pizza and they pass the savings onto you.” Skinny Pete adds ” Maybe it’s democratic bruh, you know cut your own Christmas tree, cut your own pizza.” Here the scene for your recall.
