Apple’s new iPad Pro has got an upgrade not so much with the design but with the internal hardware. Since the M1 ARM chipset of Apple has been performing great in the new MacBook lineup, they have used the same in the iPad Pro. The previous iPad Pro version had the A12Z Bionic chipset, which is not a bad chipset. They want to improve the performance of the iPad Pro and make it no less than a MacBook compared to the performance.

With the inclusion of the M1 chipset, the new iPad Pro has reached another level closer to being called a mini Laptop. Design-wise as mentioned, there is no difference at all the same dimensions and display sizes. There is another upgrade in the screen of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. This time the display will be a liquid retina XDR that offers great viewing angles. The iPad Pro used to the only display from Apple to have the 120Hz display but an LCD panel. Everyone was excepting an OLED or Super Retina (Apple’s name for AMOLED) display. With these additions, the iPad Pro qualifies to be called the mini MacBook.

The iPad Pro also has the support to 5G for faster wireless connection where ever we go. The iPad Pro now supports the Thunderbolt. The USB 4 making its USB type C port 4 times faster more bandwidth for wired connections.

Apple also says they have improved the camera performance of the iPad Pro. The front camera will be a 12MP ultrawide camera that is designed specifically for the iPad. There is a new mode in the front camera that will keep the person in the Center. Apple calls this Center Stage; this uses the larger field of view on the new front camera and the machine learning capabilities of M1 to recognize and keep users centered in the frame. As the users move, the Center Stage automatically pans and when others join, then automatically zooms out. These all are capable because of the powerful neural engine of the M1 chipset. The back camera also has a Lidar sensor present on the Pro Max model of the iPhone 12. This sensor helps in quickly and accurately focus images and videos.

The iPad Pro will be available to preorder from April 30th onwards. The new iPad Pro will be in two models an 11-inch display and a 12.9-inch display. The storage options of the new iPad Pro will be up to 2TB. The 11-inch model starting at $799 (INR 71,900), and the 12.9-inch model starting at $1099 (INR 99,900).
