Apple watches need no introduction of how capable they are. The main agenda for Apple in designing the Apple Watch is health. Apple has been introducing new health sensors each year with a new series. Last year Apple launched the Watch Series 6 and an affordable Apple Watch SE. The Apple Watch Series 6 has introduced the SpO2 sensor that will measure the blood oxygen level. Now Apple is looking to introduce a body temperature sensor and a blood glucose sensor in their Watch Series 7 this year.
The Califonia giant has previously tried to include the body temperature sensor but could get it to the consumer. Now it looks like Apple is ready to bring the feature to the consumer side. Though some news suggests another sensor that would measure the blood glucose sensor, this might not happen this year. The blood glucose sensor will be helpful to diabetic patients for measuring their sugar level in the blood.
Not only adding sensors, but Apple is also looking to speed up the new Watch Series 7. According to the inside news, the Apple Watch 7 will be having a new generation chipset that will be faster than the previous version. Apple has also been testing a new display that might be thinner at the borders. Even though using a thinner display, the Watch will be slightly thicker than the previous version. This thickness will be in such a way that it is not noticeable by the users.
The new Apple Watch Series 7 will be using the UWB functionality introduced in the Apple AirTags. This will increase the connectivity of the Watch. And of course, with the new watchOs 8 that was unveiled in the WWDC event a few days back.
According to the report by Bloomberg, Apple is planning to launch three models of Watch in the year 2022. There will be a successor to the main Watch series, another version of Watch SE, and a special Sports edition. The new Sports edition will be designed especially for the sportspersons.
