Samsung always tries to push the limits of the technology that is presently available. Samsung is tipped to be working on an ISOCELL image sensor with a 200 MegaPixel resolution. This large sensor will be making a debut in ZTE Axon 30 Pro smartphone. This sensor can not only record videos in 8K but also 16K quality. The big sensor has the capability for 4-in-1 and 16-in-1 pixel binning to reduce noise in photos.

The most exciting part is that the sensor will be first available in a non-Samsung phone. This isn’t a surprise as we already saw the 90Hz display first debut by OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone, which has the display manufactured by Samsung. After the phone’s refresh rate got many negative reviews, Samsung came up with the idea of increasing the touch sampling rate in a 90Hz display.

After the launch of Samsung’s 5nm Exynos 1080 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, this new sensor can do wonders. Both the chipsets have been designed by Samsung, which supports sensors up to 200 MegaPixels. Both the chipsets can have a single camera setup up to 200MP or a dual-camera setup with 32MP. As per the details available on Weibo, Samsung’s 200MP sensor has the name S5KGND. A tipster also mentions the image sensor measures 1/1.37-inch and has got 1.28-micron pixels.

We still don’t have the ZTE Axon 30 pro’s information, but ZTE has confirmed that the phone exists. The existence of the phone is present in a teaser on the Weibo account. The President of ZTE mobile announced that “industries strongest imaging sensor” will be available in the smartphone’s camera.

So that’s it for now. Thank you for reading, and please do share the article within your circles if you loved reading it. Also, keep an eye on this space to get relevant updates. Stay safe, and we hope to see you around.
