Microsoft has launched a new wireless headset for the Xbox consoles. This wireless headset even has support to Xbox One and Windows 10. Microsoft calls them Xbox Wireless Headset. The headphone has support to Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, Voice Isolation, auto-mute, and DTS headphone X. These headphones are designed in a way that will bring a “true-to-life” gaming experience.

The launch of the headphones is mentioned in the official blog post by Microsoft. According to the blog post, the headphones are engineered to bring the best-in-class audio and chat performance. The designers spent countless hours in making the device deliver super-immersive music and low latency.

Features:

The Xbox Wireless Headset has 40mm drivers made up of paper composite diaphragm and neodymium magnet. They use the Bluetooth 4.2 and SBC audio codec. The headphones have rotating earcup dials that allow you to adjust the volume and game/chat balance. There is also a type-c port to charge the headphones. Microsoft claims a total of 15 hours of battery life and three hours to charge the headset completely.

This Xbox Wireless Headset also works with the Windows 10 devices having Bluetooth 4.2 or above. They also require an Xbox Wireless adaptor or a USB type-c cable. Some of the voice chat features also require an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold memberships.

The buttons available on the headset are the power/pair button, mute button, a dial on both the ear cups. Users can even control the bass, equalizer, auto-mute, LED brightness, and mic monitoring settings from Xbox Accessories App. The weight of the Xbox Wireless Headset is 312 grams.

Pricing:

Xbox Wireless Headset is available to buy at $99 in the US and is available to pre-order. Microsoft will be shipping these headphones from March 16 in select regions. According to the Indian website of Xbox, these headphones will be available on October 5, but there is no word on the price.
