This year might be the year were every smartphone company has launched a Smart TV. This time it is from Oppo. Yes, Oppo is planning to release a Smart TV on October 19th. The company has a teaser posted on Weibo. There is no screen size details or any other details by Oppo. But there a listing on the Compulsory Certification of China (3C) site with 55-inch and 65-inch each of 10 models. Oppo is also planning to have a pop-up camera for Smart TV for Video conferences. Huawei Mate 40 series:

This month has a lot of launches from almost all the companies. Huawei mate 40 series is all set to launch on October 22. Huawei CEO Richard Yu tweets about the event. The series might seem to be the last one to be powered by the Kirin chipset due to the economic pressures from the US.

“This year may be the last generation of Huawei Kirin high-end chips.” – Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s consumer business unit, at a conference August 7th.

Huawei is summoned for building backdoors into the network structure which apparently might leak to the Chinese government by the US. Huawei has denied the accusations from the Trump administration. But still, it was placed in the Entity list in May 2019. This makes Google restrict its business with Huawei, which led Huawei to make its own OS called “Harmony OS”.

There is no news on when the Mate 40 series will be available. Rumors suggest Huawei might release two versions of Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro editions. The Huawei Mate 40 may have a 6.5-inch and Mate 40 Pro with a 6.7-inch display. According to Andriod Authority, the price of the device might be between $1400 to $1500.
