Vivo on their Chinese microblogging website Weibo announced their new OS. The new OS is called the Origin OS and will be launched on the 18th of November. The company has also a new tagline “Brave new world” for the OS. This new Origin OS might replace their old Funtouch OS. Vivo hasn’t shared any details regarding this.

On the other hand, Vivo from one and a half years has done a lot of improvements to their Funtouch OS. They have done a lot of improvement to the Funtouch OS to keep up with the new features of Android 10 and Android 11. A tipster mentions that this is the short form of the “Original OS”.

Vivo is building this OS from scratch based on Android only for the Vivo phones. Vivo is also in plans to release this “Origin OS” to all their phones by the end of this year. The company hasn’t revealed any features of Origin OS and is trying to keep them a secret. The company has set up a new account on Weibo only for the new OS. Vivo says “Interact with your emotional instinct with a real experience close to reality” about their Origin OS.

Vivo was having plans to change their existing OS and according to the tipster earlier it was supposed to be at the beginning of this year. But due to the pandemic, it has been delayed. The company is looking to build a new OS that is clean and smoother.

Vivo X50 will be launching at the end of this year and maybe this will be the first phone to have the new Origin OS. The new Origin OS will definitely be based on Android 11. This also brings quiet confusion as the company has already given some phone the Android 11 update. Well, we have to wait for Vivo to clear this mess.

So that’s it for now. Thank you for reading and please do share the article within your circles if you loved reading it. Also, keep an eye on this space to get relevant updates.
